An amazing testament to construction and pure joy of form, this extravagant full length skirt by Yves Saint Laurent is perfection. The original owner was the wife of a diplomat and had many of her clothing custom made by YSL in her size. This is a wonderful opportinuty to get pieces in larger sizes that are very high end a rarity in the vintage world sometimes. Watch for several pieces from her estate to come! The skirt is made of rich combination of silk taffeta topped and black velvet set into a harlequin pattern. At the hem a dramatic flounce of lace peeps out from underneath an extravagant ribbon trim. It has yards of fabric in it so is quite full and you gets lots of lovely volume when you move but it is cut to make you look lean and long when standing. Incredibly it has its original tags $6600!
